This app DOES NOT save your sins locally, unless you log in with one of your social media accounts. Even when logged on it works sporadically. It also wants your location, but doesn’t adequately explain why. When I loaded it the first time, I allowed for the app to use my location While I was Using the app. It later prompted me, even though the app was closed, i.e. not even open in the background, to allow the app to know location at all times, even when closed. If I could, I would rate this zero stars. I believe this app, best case, is a marketing tool…worst case, the app might be malicious!!

1. I k ow it’s not needed to login to work but your only options are Facebook, Twitter, and Google. All three companies are not Christian friendly. Add an email only login or alt-media options like Gab. 2. Can you add the older version of the act of contrition or give an option to use that one or both.

I’ve used this app many times and like to use it but it no longer works on my iPhone due to IOS 11. Hoping it will be updated soon.

This is the best confession app I’ve seen. Had it & lost it when my iPhone forced me to update to iOS11. Please update so I can have it back! Thank you!

Good app. Should have a feature that tells me what prayers I should say if I was not able to confess to a priest.

This app really puts things into perspective as far as how well are we upholding our Catholic life. It helps prepare for confession and it prevents tht feeling of "darn it! I forgot to tell Fr. Bob about ___!" Everything gets checked off! The best part is that you can erase the sins when you've been absolved! Thanks!

I love it! It's really helped me in preparing for confession.

This app has a nice tone and is well worded. I felt comfortable as opposed to judged or condemned. Actually made me feel like going to confession. Also easy to use.

I really like this app because it is so beautiful and easy to use. The introduction section is very helpful for those who may like learning more about the sacrament and its history. The app works quickly and the "Erase my sins" button is fun. The checked off sins are moved to the Guide to Confessio page, wich can really help you go through the actual sacramen of confession. I like this app and really recommend it.

I just used this app for the first time. I went through the examination, prayed, and wrote in a couple extra sins on the write in box. I found the wording and the phrasing of the app to be very powerful and prayerful. Something about using the app helped me pray well. I then went to confession a couple hours later and used the guide to confession page to make my final preparations. I really like this app. It really guided me in a prayerful way. I heard a woman in church asking another woman for advice about going to confession. I really wanted to go over and tell her to just get this app.

It is too bad the App Store deletes reviews when the application is updated. This app is a great way to organize thoughts before going to confession as well as a complete how to guide. The interface and design are beautiful. The big update is to allow users to save their inputs until you hit the erase sins button. I really like this feature because my examination usually happens over several short sessions. This is a must have for all Catholics.

Finally the app will allow one to examine their conscious and save the outcome for later use when one can go to confession. My only suggestion is to build in a function that would let the user print out the list rather then retain information on the app. This is fine but if the phone reboots or is shut down the data is lost. Allow a print function in the next update please.

While this app is thoughtful and meaningful in content, it is not useful in practice. One's sins are erased by closing the app or closing the cover of the iPad. Therefore, one can only keep sins listed in confession section while the app is open, this renders the "erase" option moot when all that needs to be done to clear sins is to close the app. The sins should remain in confession section until erased, even when it is closed. It is inconvenient, distracting and rude to sit in church with your iPad or phone lit up. To sit with your sins "exposed" while in the pews with the other penitents, until you get in the confessional, is reminiscent of the Inquisition. I want to examine my conscience at home then open the app in the confessional and proceed. Please fix this glitch and I will rerate app with 5 stars.

Wow. This little app is powerful. I like how the examination of conscience is worded. And, the way your checked off sins move the confession part is really cool. Very good app that helps you examine your life and make a good confession. Simple design, but it it works well. I like it better than the other Confession App.

There are a lot of apps around Catholic life, and this is one that is put together well and makes sense.

I bought this App on the merits of the 9 reviewers who gave it top-notch reviews. I will rate it less than 5 stars for the following reasons: ~ I already have a free Confession App which allows for a lock on the app. A simple numerical lock would add a star. ~ Once you place a check mark for the transgressions committed, one would think that those check marks would stay put until you need them. However, turn off the device, and you'll find you need to do the examination of conscience (check the boxes) all over again. This could prove quite inconvenient should you get into the confessional and suppose you're set to go. ~ The free App has options for whether you are Married, Single or are a Religious. This App has one-size-fits all sins. Wish I had saved my 99 cents. Everything I need is on the free App; this one.... not so much because of the previous comments.

The introduction section is incredibly informative and draws heavily from the catechism of the Catholic Church. The examination of conscience is thought-provoking and thorough. With a logical progression through the stages of confession it is both easy to use and understand. Best confession app on the market!

Fantastic guide for those of us renewing our relationship with our Lord! Easy to follow and great explanations! Highly recommend it!

In addition to a well thought out examination of conscience, the way this app explains the sacrament really helps me prepare both mind and spirit for the graces received through confession. I try to receive this sacrament every two weeks and in the in between days I use the check box feature to help me remember. I use the write in section to make notes of specific situations or topics I want to bring up. Overall a very useful tool! I keep it right next to iBreviary and iMissal.

Great app!! Helps a convert like me get through confession with less fear of forgetting what I'm doing!!
